The Canyon
A rising woodland adventure with a different challenge around every corner.
With play extending around nearly every side, Canyon can keep a large group moving without making everyone follow the same route.
Canyon surrounds three elevated platforms with climbing nets, balance challenges and daring descents, giving children the freedom to find their own way through the structure.
Climb Deeper Into the Adventure
Canyon is designed around discovery. Children can enter from several directions, choose the challenge that interests them and gradually work their way toward the highest platform.
The net traverse wall turns the outer edge of the playground into an adventure of its own. Several children can share the net at once, moving sideways, climbing higher, ducking through openings and weaving around one another as they find a path across.
Closer to the towers, the tilted climber and inclined balance climber offer two more approaches. Each changes the angle of the ascent, asking children to shift their weight and coordinate their hands and feet as they move toward the lower platform.
The climbing challenges become more complex as children move deeper into Canyon. The scramble net provides a flexible climb toward the central tower, while the triangle climbing net can be approached from three sides. Children can choose their own route, meet friends on another face of the net or adjust their path as other climbers move around them.
For a more direct vertical challenge, the climbing wall offers access from both sides. Children must look for the next hold, plan their movement and keep their bodies close to the wall as they climb toward the highest platform. An inclined net bridge connects the upper towers and turns the journey between them into part of the challenge. The net responds underfoot, encouraging children to adjust their pace and balance, especially when friends are crossing at the same time.
At the top, the slide offers a long, sweeping ride back to the ground. The fireman’s pole provides a quicker and more daring descent from the neighboring platform. These different exits keep the play loop moving and give children another decision to make each time they climb.
A peek-through opening children can look out, catch a friend’s eye or turn the opening into part of a hide-and-seek game before continuing through the structure.
The Play Experience
• Move sideways, upward and through the net traverse wall while sharing the route with other children
• Enter from the tilted climber, inclined balance climber or scramble net
• Approach the triangle climbing net from three sides and choose a personal route upward
• Scale the climbing wall from either side using a more direct vertical path
• Cross the inclined net bridge as its flexible surface responds underfoot
• Progress through three platform heights, with the challenge building as children climb higher
• Pause on the platforms to gather with friends, look out and decide where to go next
• Use the peek-through opening for hide and seek, visual connection and social play
• Choose between the long slide and fireman’s pole for two very different descents
Designed to Belong Outdoors
Canyon has the inviting character of a cluster of woodland treehouses. Its three platform heights create a strong sense of progression, while the staggered towers give the structure a varied and recognizable silhouette.
Optional timber roofs can strengthen the treehouse character, while the open design allows the surrounding landscape to remain visible through and around the structure. Plastic and stainless steel slide options allow Canyon to be configured for different settings and design preferences.
Sustainably sourced laminated timber poles place natural material at the center of the design. Paint-free construction allows the grain and texture of the timber to remain visible while reducing ongoing maintenance. The laminated timber poles are backed by a 20-year warranty.
Applications
Canyon is well suited to busy schoolyards, municipal parks, community playgrounds and destination play spaces that need meaningful play for a larger group of children.
Its extended layout creates a strong center piece for open sites, while the many climbing approaches help spread activity throughout the structure. Natural materials and a layered treehouse appearance also make Canyon a fitting choice for wooded settings, trail destinations and nature-inspired play spaces.
