The Summit
A woodland expedition where every child can find a path worth taking.
With room for 36 children, Summit offers the scale and variety needed for busy playgrounds. Children can follow a complete journey across the structure or stay within one area, returning to a favorite climb, crossing or slide again and again.
A Whole Landscape to Explore
Summit does not give children a single route to follow. It gives them an entire landscape to discover.
The adventure begins at several points around the structure. ADA Stepped Access supports transfer into the elevated play route at the 44" tower, offering a gradual and familiar series of steps. Nearby, a tilted climber and vertical climber provide more demanding ways to reach the 60" platforms.
At ground level, the Musical Play Panel creates another way to participate. Children can experiment with sound, create rhythms with friends or add their own soundtrack to the activity happening above them.
As children travel farther into the structure, three different bridges turn movement between the towers into an important part of the play. The inclined WildWood bridge provides a solid timber path as the route rises. The inclined net bridge adds movement underfoot, asking children to adjust their pace and balance. The inclined balance bridge creates a longer and more open crossing between the two tower groups, bringing an added sense of adventure to the journey.
Around the outside, the two-sided net traverse wall offers plenty of room for children to move sideways, climb higher, pass one another and find their own way across. Because both sides can be used, the net becomes a shared climbing space where several children can play together without following the same path.
The challenge continues to build toward the 75" tower. Children can approach the triangle climbing net from three sides, choosing a route that matches their skills or testing a more difficult way up. The climbing wall offers a direct ascent that calls for careful hand and foot placement, body control and planning.
Four platform heights give Summit a genuine sense of progression. Children can begin with the more approachable lower route, work through the 60" towers and eventually take on the climbs leading to the highest platform.
Reaching the top brings its own reward. The 75" tube slide provides a long, enclosed ride back to the ground. At the lower tower, children can enjoy either a plastic tube slide or an open stainless steel slide, while the fireman’s pole offers a faster and more daring descent from one of the 60" platforms.
With so many ways to climb, cross and return to the ground, no single trip reveals everything Summit has to offer. Children can come back, change direction, take on a different challenge and gradually make more of the playground their own.
The Play Experience

Designed to Blend in Outdoors
Summit has the scale and presence of a destination playground, but its natural materials keep the design warm and connected to its surroundings. The four timber towers resemble a loose collection of woodland shelters, creating a memorable centerpiece without the heavy appearance of a conventional playground structure.
Sustainably sourced laminated timber poles place the natural grain, texture and color of wood at the center of the design. Carefully selected colors appear as accents on the slides, panels and tower details, adding energy for children without overpowering the natural character of the playground.
Optional timber roofs strengthen the feeling of a woodland village and give each tower its own identity. Without the roofs, Summit takes on a lighter and more open appearance while maintaining clear sightlines through and across the structure.
Paint-free construction allows the natural appearance of the timber to remain visible while reducing ongoing maintenance. The laminated timber poles are backed by a 20-year warranty.
Although Summit is the largest playground in the WildWood Discovery Series, its modular organization divides the structure into logical tower and bridge sections. This helps installation crews organize staging and assembly across a larger project site.
Applications
Summit is designed for busy schoolyards, municipal parks, large community playgrounds and destination play spaces that need substantial capacity and a broad range of play experiences.
Its multiple entrances and routes help distribute children throughout the playground rather than concentrating activity around one climb or slide. The varied challenge levels also allow children with different abilities and confidence levels to share the same structure while choosing experiences that feel meaningful to them.
With its expansive layout, varied tower heights and natural treehouse character, Summit is particularly well suited to large open sites, wooded park settings and major projects where the playground is intended to become a defining part of the landscape.
