Terrace connects three timber towers with climbing nets, bridges, balance challenges and several ways back to the ground. Children can enter through the accessible transfer station or begin with a more challenging climb, then find their own way across, around and between the towers.

The Terrace
A woodland route made for children who would rather keep moving.
With room for 30 children and play extending around nearly every side, Terrace keeps a large group active without making everyone follow the same path.
Keep Moving, Keep Choosing
Terrace turns the journey between its towers into the heart of the play.
The Accessible Transfer Station provides the most gradual entry to the elevated route. A transfer platform, generous steps and supportive handrails create a clear and predictable way onto the lower deck, helping more children become part of the activity.
At the opposite end, the striding stilts begin with a much different challenge. Children step from one raised timber foothold to the next, using the upright poles and handholds to steady themselves. From there, the route continues directly onto the balance climber, where a support rope helps children navigate the narrower crossing.
Together, the stilts and balance climber create one continuous test of foot placement, balance and control. Children can take their time, find a rhythm and gradually become more comfortable moving through the sequence.
The tilted climber and vertical climber offer two more direct ways onto the structure. The tilted angle asks children to shift their weight as they coordinate their hands and feet, while the vertical climber provides a steeper and more familiar ascent.
The net traverse wall extends the adventure beyond the towers. Children can travel sideways, climb higher or reverse direction as the flexible ropes respond beneath their hands and feet. Its open design allows several children to share the experience, pass one another and invent different ways across.
Between the towers, the net traverse link becomes much more than a link across two towers. Children can enter it from the ground or either deck, climb across to the next tower or work their way back down. One child may use it as a route between platforms while another treats it as a climbing wall, giving the same component several different kinds of play value.
The inclined wood bridge offers a more solid path between towers. Its rising walkway creates a sense of progression while giving children a place to walk together, pause between challenges or decide where the adventure should go next.
Two slides provide fast and exciting returns to the ground, while the slide pole offers a more daring descent that calls for grip and body control. With several ways up, multiple routes across and three ways down, Terrace gives children plenty of reasons to circle back and experience the playground differently each time.
The Play Experience
• Enter the elevated structure through the Accessible Transfer Station and broad stepped access
• Cross the striding stilts by carefully choosing each foothold and using the upright supports for balance
• Continue directly onto the balance climber and use the support rope to steady the crossing
• Scale the tilted climber as its changing angle challenges coordination and body position
• Take the vertical climber for a steeper and more direct ascent
• Move sideways, upward or back down the net traverse wall
• Enter the net traverse link from the ground or decks and choose how to move through it
• Cross the inclined wood bridge as the route rises between towers
• Gather on the elevated platforms to socialize, look out and choose the next challenge
• Choose between two slides and a slide pole for three different descents
• Follow a complete route through the playground or return to a favorite climbing and balance challenge
Designed to Blend in Outdoors
Terrace has the character of a small woodland village, with three timber towers connected by bridges and climbing nets. Its broad layout allows the structure to unfold naturally across the site, while the open nets and generous spacing preserve sightlines through and around the playground.
Sustainably sourced laminated timber gives Terrace its warmth, texture and natural character. Colour is used thoughtfully on the slides and selected details, adding energy and visual interest for children without overpowering the appearance of the wood. The result feels playful and inviting while still blending comfortably into parks, schoolyards and natural landscapes.
Optional timber roofs strengthen the woodland character and give the towers the feeling of sheltered lookouts. Without the roofs, Terrace has a lighter and more open appearance.
Paint-free construction allows the natural grain and texture of the timber to remain visible while reducing ongoing maintenance. A 20-year warranty backs the laminated timber poles.
Applications
Terrace is well suited to busy schoolyards, municipal parks, community playgrounds and larger nature-inspired play spaces that need both capacity and variety.
Its combination of gradual access and more demanding climbing routes allows children with different abilities, confidence levels and play preferences to join the same structure. Multiple entrances and descents also distribute activity throughout the playground rather than concentrating children around one climber or slide.
The extended footprint makes Terrace particularly fitting for open sites where the playground can become a connected journey through the landscape.
