The Cascade
A woodland journey that flows from one challenge to the next.
With 19 play events and room for 36 children, Cascade brings climbing, balancing, accessible entry, interactive play and social gathering together across a wide and varied play landscape.
Follow the Adventure From Tower to Tower
Cascade gives children many ways to enter the playground and even more ways to move through it.
The ADA Stepped Access begins with a transfer platform and continues through broad steps with supportive handrails. It provides a clear and predictable route to the 44" platform, helping more children become part of the elevated play journey.
From the lower tower, the Inclined Wildwood Bridge creates a solid timber path toward the 60" platforms. As the route rises, children experience a gradual sense of progression while walking together, pausing along the way or deciding which part of the playground to explore next.
More challenging climbing routes surround the towers. The tilted climber asks children to coordinate their hands and feet while shifting their weight across the angled timber rungs. The vertical climber provides a steeper and more direct ascent to one of the 60" platforms.
The Net Traverse Wall extends climbing along the outside of the structure. Children can move sideways, climb higher, reverse direction or find their own path through the ropes. Its open configuration allows several children to share the net and adapt their movements as others climb nearby.
Within the central tower group, the Inclined Net Bridge adds a flexible crossing beneath the feet. Children must adjust their pace and balance as the ropes respond to their movement, particularly when friends are travelling across at the same time.
The Inclined Balance Bridge creates a longer and more open journey to the outlying tower. Children move carefully across the narrow timber crossing while using the support ropes to steady themselves. The distance between the tower groups gives the crossing a genuine sense of travelling from one part of the playground to another.
At the far side, the Striding Stilts Access creates an extended balance route of its own. Children step between raised timber footholds, judging each distance and using the upright posts and metal handholds for support. As they become more familiar with the sequence, they can work toward moving with greater rhythm and confidence.
Ground-level activities give children additional ways to participate without having to follow the elevated route. The Musical Play Panel invites experimentation with sound and rhythm, while the Noughts & Crosses Play Panel encourages turn-taking, conversation and friendly games.
Two timber benches create places to pause, gather with friends or incorporate the structure into imaginative play. Together, the panels and benches add quieter social experiences alongside the more active climbing and balancing challenges.
Each journey through Cascade can end differently. Two slides offer fast rides from separate 60" towers, allowing activity to flow through more than one area of the playground. The fireman’s pole provides a quicker and more adventurous descent that calls for grip, body control and confidence.
With multiple entrances, three bridges and several ways down, children can reverse direction, change routes and return to a favorite challenge without experiencing Cascade the same way twice.

Designed to Belong Outdoors
Cascade has the character of a woodland settlement connected by trails through the trees. Four timber towers create several recognizable destinations, while the bridges, nets and balance routes allow the playground to unfold naturally across the site.
The generous spacing between the towers helps Cascade feel like a journey through the landscape rather than one concentrated mass of equipment. Open rope elements and timber railings maintain sightlines through and around the structure, allowing trees, planting and surrounding scenery to remain visible.
Optional timber roofs strengthen the appearance of sheltered woodland lookouts and give each tower its own identity. Without the roofs, Cascade has a lighter and more open profile. Plastic and stainless steel slide options allow the structure to be configured for different settings and design preferences.
Sustainably sourced laminated timber poles place natural material at the center of the design. Paint-free construction allows the grain and texture of the timber to remain visible while reducing ongoing maintenance. A 20-year warranty backs the laminated timber poles.
Applications
Cascade is designed for busy schoolyards, municipal parks, regional parks, community playgrounds and destination play spaces that need substantial capacity and a wide variety of play.
Its accessible stepped route and ground-level interactive features provide approachable ways to participate, while the climbing nets, striding stilts and balance crossings offer progressively different challenges. Multiple entrances and descents help distribute children throughout the playground rather than concentrating activity around one climber or slide.
Cascade’s broad footprint and journey-like arrangement make it particularly well suited to large open spaces, wooded parks, campgrounds and major nature-inspired projects where the playground can become part of the surrounding landscape.
